About the Artist

Ene Rahu was born in Kuressaare, Estonia. Located on the picturesque island of Saaremaa. She began painting at an early age, winning a competition and being published with her first works as a child. The peaceful rural atmosphere of her youth is still reflected in her works today.

Focusing on classical style realism her subjects range from still lifes to landscapes of Estonia as well as California scenes where she currently resides. She has traveled extensively in Europe, Russia and Africa and draws from these experiences in her work.

Ene has served on the board of the Dana Point Coastal Arts since 2004 and worked in the Laguna Beach Pageant of the Masters from 2005-2008

Her current series of work is focusing on small scale paintings of various Estonia landscapes and a new series of Laguna Beach coastal paintings which will be exhibited during upcoming artwalks and studio tours. Please check the show page for upcoming events and exhibitions.
